Producing a complex game with Unreal


The challenge in this game was to make so many different types of behaviours in so short time, and I had to work in my job so I had not all the time I wanted. Anyways, the game is divided in different phases and character roles.

At the begining you are alone, a dark sorcerer against a world of farmers ,and they live settled around a castle ,guarded by archers.

You start invoking all the skeletons you want, with 3 different behaviours: kill farmers, follow you or climb and die trying to get the gem of power. You can choose whatever you want your army to do.

This gem, is the source of the power that drived you to come to this place, and it's the goal of the game. To get it you will have to make your skeletons to climb and get it for you. The problem with these skeletons is that they can turned against you very easily (yeah friends, the dark side strikes again) . Well, once you kill all the farmers, you can just climb, the problem is the archers, they are skeletons too, powered by the gem, and they can kill you and your minions. 

There is a trick, you can make your skeletons to follow you so you can drive them and avoid the ice arrows, but there is always a downside, once they reach you when they follow your character, they will hit you :D so, don't let them approach so much in follow mode or you will have problems. Oh, to recover life you use the ice spell.

I need 2 more days to finish all the mechanics of the climbing and the gathering of the gem . But I liked the result so far. Who knows, this could be a good game if I consider it to produce.

My original idea was to create the crowd in houdini and export the animation for the end of the game into unreal but I ran out of time.
